Jason Statham starrer ‘Wrath of Man’ trailer released

The first trailer of Jason Statham starrer and director Guy Ritchie’s “Wrath of Man” has been released.

In the movie trailer, Statham, called H, is shown starting the job of a cash truck security guard and later showing unbelievable precision skills during a heist.

The movie is hitting theaters May 7th.

One of H’s surprised coworkers, Boy Sweat Dave (played by Josh Hartnett), talks about H with another coworker, saying, “If he is not a cop, what is he?”

The trailer only reveals that some time ago two guys and a civilian were lost and that there was an investigation, but “a scum who did it” has still not been found.

In the trailer, H is then shown getting shot and later waking up in the ICU, where a doctor tells him he has been in an accident. H asks the doctor if he knows his son, and the doctor replies, “he didn’t make it.” We are shown a man pointing a gun at a lying young man.

H is then shown standing in what looks like a mafia-style office with some men and saying that he needs to know who killed his son.

Director Ritchie shares the ‘screenplay by’ credit with Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies. The trio also shares the ‘written by’ credit for Matthew McConaughey and Collin Farrell starrer “The Gentlemen,” which was also directed by Ritchie.

“Wrath of Man” is based upon the 2004 French movie “Le Convoyeur,” which was written by Nicolas Boukhrief & Éric Besnard and directed by Boukhrief.

Along with Jason Statham and Josh Hartnett, the cast of “Wrath of Man” includes Holt McCallany, Laz Alonzo, Jeffrey Donovan, Scott Eastwood, Raúl Castillo, Eddie Marsan and Deobia Oparei.

The movie is rated R for strong violence throughout, pervasive language and some sexual references.
