Alienware launches X-Series gaming laptops

Alienware has launched its new X-Series gaming laptops, presenting 15″ and 17″ notebooks that boast the latest performance components, patent-pending cooling technologies, Legend 2.0 design features and framerate-splitting displays. These gaming laptops are also Alienware’s thinnest to date.

The 15″ one is actually the world’s most powerful sub-16mm 15” gaming laptop, according to Alienware.

The computer hardware subsidiary of Dell says that the number one request it continues to receive from its customers is advancement in thermal technologies within mobile form factors. To address the dilemmas that present-day cooling solutions present, the company said it “needed to look inwards and reinvent the game ourselves.” Alienware said it discovered several new engineering methods and new materials as a result. That includes, according to the gaming laptop manufacturer, “five patent-pending, exclusive to Alienware.”

“We’ve engineered the next evolution of our Alienware Cryo-TechTM cooling technology which introduces Element 31[1], an exclusive thermal interface material (TIM) concocted from Encapsulated Gallium-Silicone liquid metal compound,” said Alienware in its announcement. “This material exists between the CPU and their thermal elements to disperse heat and mitigate spikes in core temperatures from affecting the system’s performance.”

With the X-Series, gamers will notice up to 25% less laptop heating.

These laptops come with HyperEfficient Voltage Regulation, which helps you achieve extended performance when playing games for long hours. No matter where you go, said the the Miami, Florida-headquartered company, you will benefit from the new exclusive Alienware Quad Fan design blowing air efficiently through the internal hotspots, chassis and system. The patent-pending Smart Fan control technology of the company makes use of artificial intelligence for enhanced “application performance as each fan independently spins-up, slows-down or remains steady according to various sensors strategically placed around core system components.”

The high-performing technologies that these gaming laptops offer include 11th Gen Intel Core H-series mobile processors, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series Laptop GPUs (up to a 3080), a maximum graphics power of 110W (in the 15″ X-Series laptop) and 165W (in the 17″ one), Thermal Control Circuit offset, five Tailored Power States, the optional CHERRY MX mechanical keyboard (for the 17″ one), DirectX Raytracing, panel technologies ranging from incredible FHD 360Hz speed to 4K-UHD HDR400, a Windows Hello IR camera, hardware based low-blue-light technology ComfortView Plus, advanced LED technology with up to 100 micro-LEDS on the 17″ laptop and 90 on the 15″ one and first Alienware-branded 240W power adapter.

Limited configurations of these laptops are available now, while the full configurations will be available on June 15.

The starting prices of Alienware X-Series laptops are $1,999.99 (for the 15″ one) and $2,099.99 (for the 17″ one).
