The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has asked one of Donald Trump‘s vice president contenders, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, to answer four questions.

Governor Burgum is set to appear on Fox News show “Fox & Friends” at the time of this writing.

“Doug Burgum won’t stop pushing Donald Trump’s dangerous election denialism, siding with his billionaire special interest backers, or standing by his extreme anti-choice agenda, including the draconian near-total abortion ban he signed into law in North Dakota — and voters deserve to know why,” said DNC Rapid Response Director Alex Floyd in a statement.

Floyd added, “While Burgum desperately tries to out-MAGA Trump’s other lackeys for a spot on a convicted felon’s ticket, the American people are making it clear every day that Trump’s extreme, out-of-touch MAGA agenda is a political loser.”

The four questions DNC wants the Republican governor to answer, but also thinks he will not be asked on “Fox & Friends,” are:

  1. When will you stop pushing Trump’s baseless election denialism and lies that threaten our democracy?
  2. You signed a near-total abortion ban with nearly no exceptions after celebrating Trump’s handpicked judges overturning Roe v. Wade. Why do you support ripping away access to abortion for survivors of rape and incest before most women even know they’re pregnant?
  3. When will you finally put the American people first — instead of your ultra-wealthy special interest backers, who are already favor trading for campaign cash with Trump?
  4. Why do you want to repeal the Affordable Care Act, gut protections for people with preexisting conditions, and rollback legislation to lower prescription drug costs?

Governor Burgum is among the wealthiest state governors in the United States with an estimated net worth of $100 million, according to Forbes, which also says he got rich in 2001 after selling Great Plains Software to Microsoft. He has been serving as the 33rd governor of North Dakota since 2016.
