Paramount releases ‘A Quiet Place Part II’ final trailer

After having the pleasure of reporting releases of some movies’ first trailers over the last couple of years, we are delighted to report that Paramount Pictures has released the final trailer of its upcoming horror movie, “A Quiet Place Part II.” Paramount is the film’s distributor.

The sequel to the 2018 film of the same name without the mention of the second part had its world premiere in New York City in March last year. The film will now be released “only in theaters” on May 28.

Along with the final trailer, Paramount also released a 46-second featurette, a short documentary about the making of the movie.

“A Quiet Place Part II” is written and directed by actor-director-producer-screenwriter John Krasinski, who also directed and was one of the three screenwriters of the first movie. Krasinski also plays the lead in both movies along with actress Emily Blunt. In 2018, Time magazine named Krasinski as one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Krasinski has won 15 awards and received 57 nominations for screenwriting, acting, directing and producing in theater, television and film. For “A Quiet Place,” he won the 2018 IGN People’s Choice Award for Best Director, the 2018 Los Angeles Online Film Critics Society Award for Best Original Screenplay and the 2019 Saturn Award for Best Writing, with the film itself winning the 2019 Critics’ Choice Award for Best Sci-Fi/Horror Movie and the 2018 Kansas City Film Critics Circle Vince Koehler Award.

Blunt has won six different awards and received 34 nominations for her work in film. She won the 2019 Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture and the 2019 Hawaii Film Critics Society’s award for Best Supporting Actress for the first “Quiet Place” movie.

In addition to the two actors, the film’s cast includes Cillian Murphy (“Inception,” “Batman Begins,” “28 Days Later”), Millicent Simmonds (“Wonderstruck”), Noah Jupe (“Ford vs. Ferrari,” “Honey Boy”) and Djimon Hounsou (“The Fate of the Furious,” “Captain Marvel,” “Shazam,” “Aquaman”).

“Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence,” reads the official synopsis of “A Quiet Place Part II. “Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.”
