DiversityInc. announces top 50 companies for diversity 2021

DiversityInc, a privately owned publication with no outside investors, has announced top 50 companies with the most diverse workforce for the year 2021. The private publication makes the announcement for every year based on the results of its Top 50 Companies for Diversity survey, which is a data-driven process with rankings determined by data submitted by participating companies.

The company topping the list this year is hospitality company Hilton.

“Conrad Hilton founded this company on the belief that travel could be a bridge to world peace,” said Hilton president and CEO Chris Nassetta. “Today’s recognition is evidence that our hospitality has the ability to create greater understanding and unite communities, and I’m so proud of the inclusive workplace our Team Members have built together.”

It is Hilton’s seventh consecutive year on the list.

DiversityInc was founded in 1998. The publication started ranking top 50 companies for diversity in 2001. Each year, the list proves “volatile as new companies gain strength and others work to keep up with quickly evolving best practices.”

The second company on the list this year is technology, business and management consulting as well as digital marketing, analytics and mobility services company Accenture.

Securing the third spot in the 2021 list is pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly and Company. The Indianapolis, Indiana-headquartered company was ranked third in last year’s list as well.

Medical devices and health care company Abbott is at number four this year. It secured the eighth rank last year. The company has made it to the list for the 18th consecutive year.

Mastercard is at the fifth place.

“We believe in diversity, equity and inclusion because people thrive when they feel they belong,” Mastercard tweeted today from its Mastercard News Twitter account. “Mastercard is proud to be recognized as #5 on the @DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list and eight specialty lists.”
